About this piece
The Aira Pendant is woven by hand into a broad, flattened disc with a brim that dips and rises unevenly, closer to a sun hat than a shade. Bamboo and rattan strips cross in an open diagonal lattice, loose enough to see the fitting through. Lit, the weave throws a wide radiating pattern of light and shadow across the ceiling well beyond the shade itself. It carries a living room or a wide dining table where the ceiling has room to show it. Natural finish, LED source.

Does it need an electrician to install?
It wires into a standard ceiling box, exactly like swapping out an existing light. Turn the power off at the breaker, connect the three wires, and mount it — most people do it themselves in about 20 minutes. If you would rather not, any electrician will have it up in a single visit.
Is a bulb included?
This fixture takes an E27 bulb, sold separately, so you can choose your own brightness and colour temperature.
