About this piece
The Ellipse Washi Pendant is a flattened oval of Japanese washi paper, wide and shallow where most pendants are tall. Bamboo ribs hold the shape in tight horizontal rings, and the paper is drawn over them cleanly enough to show the frame only as a faint shadow. Lit, the broad underside spreads a warm, even wash downward, enough to cover a dining table without glare. It hangs well over a table, a kitchen island or a stairwell. Suspended on a slim brown cord.

Does it need an electrician to install?
It wires into a standard ceiling box, exactly like swapping out an existing light. Turn the power off at the breaker, connect the three wires, and mount it — most people do it themselves in about 20 minutes. If you would rather not, any electrician will have it up in a single visit.
