About this piece
The Slim Black Bar Wall Lamp reduces a wall light to a single line. A slender aluminium rod, capped at both ends, meets the wall through one small circular disc set off centre, so the bar appears to balance on a point. Light escapes along the length of the rod and washes the surface behind it in a soft warm band, leaving no visible source. Mounted upright it draws a column, turned sideways it stretches a low glow above a sofa or bed. Available in five lengths.

Does it need an electrician to install?
It wires into a standard wall box, exactly like swapping out an existing fitting. Turn the power off at the breaker, connect the three wires, and mount it — most people do it themselves in about 20 minutes. If you would rather not, any electrician will have it up in a single visit.

No, bulbs are sold separately, so you can choose your own brightness and colour temperature.
