About this piece
The Birken Zinc Pendant borrows the profile of an acorn, wide and softly shouldered where most shades are straight. The body is cast zinc alloy in a matte finish, meeting a turned length of solid wood at the neck that lifts the colour and keeps the form from reading heavy. The deep curve holds the bulb well inside, casting light down onto a table rather than out into the room. It hangs comfortably over a dining table, kitchen counter or entry. Six finishes, on an E27 base.

Does it need an electrician to install?
It wires into a standard ceiling box, exactly like swapping out an existing light. Turn the power off at the breaker, connect the three wires, and mount it — most people do it themselves in about 20 minutes. If you would rather not, any electrician will have it up in a single visit.
Is a bulb included?
No, bulbs are sold separately. This fixture takes an E26 or E27 bulb, so you can choose your own brightness and colour temperature.
