The Axis Wall Lamp is built around movement, a slim cylinder head carried on a double jointed arm that folds flat against the wall or reaches out over a chair. The body is metal throughout, in black or gold, with an acrylic diffuser closing the end of the barrel. Its integrated LED casts a warm, contained pool rather than a broad wash, which makes it useful for reading in bed. A round backplate keeps the wall detail plain, with a button switch on the fitting.

Does it need an electrician to install?
It wires into a standard wall box, exactly like swapping out an existing fitting. Turn the power off at the breaker, connect the three wires, and mount it — most people do it themselves in about 20 minutes. If you would rather not, any electrician will have it up in a single visit.
